Good to know

Strollers and the metro

Many metro stations only have stairs. With a buggy, buses are often easier in Paris – stops are at street level.

Toilets

The public Sanisette toilets on the pavement are free. Baby-changing tables are mostly found in museums and department stores.

Rainy-day plan

On a wet day one, keep the evolution gallery; on day two, the aquarium. The Cité des Sciences with its children's area also works as a backup.

Paris with kids: frequently asked questions

What age is good for Paris with kids?

With parks, a zoo and boats, even toddlers have fun. From about six, the Eiffel Tower, the aquarium and the evolution gallery really come alive.

Is the Eiffel Tower stressful with children?

Not usually, if you take the first slot of the day and book ahead. The security check still needs patience – pack a snack.
