Good to know
Buggies and stairs
Museums, the South Bank and the boats are easy with a buggy. Many older Tube stations only have stairs, though – buses and boats are often simpler.
Kids ride free
Children under eleven ride buses free. On the Tube up to four under-elevens travel free with a fare-paying adult.
Toilets and changing
The big museums and the Southbank Centre have toilets with baby-changing facilities. Public toilets are scarcer out on the streets.
If it rains
Day one works almost entirely indoors. Skip the playground and spend longer in the Science Museum instead.
