May to September is the most pleasant; July and August are warm and crowded. April and October are quieter and often still mild. Winter is cold, but there is a Christmas market on Main Square during Advent.

Getting around

The Old Town, Kazimierz and Wawel are close together and easy on foot. Trams cover longer distances; buy tickets at the machines or via the app. A train runs from the airport to Kraków Główny in about 20 minutes.
