A short metro ride takes you to Passeig de Gràcia; from there it is all on foot: down La Rambla to the market hall, through the Gothic Quarter and the Born to Barceloneta beach. Dinner comes with a view of the water.

Good to know

Two tickets are enough

Book the Sagrada Família ahead with a time slot – it often sells out days in advance. For La Pedrera and Casa Batlló one interior is usually enough in a day; see the other façade from outside.

Mind your bags

Pickpockets work La Rambla, La Boqueria and the metro. Wear your backpack in front and keep your phone off the table.

Eat late

Barcelona eats late. Lunch from 1:30 pm and dinner from around 8:30 pm are normal; earlier, many kitchens are still closed.
